Chip Le

Chip was born in Saigon, Vietnam and emigrated to the great state of Georgia in 2003. He obtained his bachelor degree at Harding University (Arkansas) in 2010 before heading northeast to pursue his masters degree at THE Ohio State University with Professor James Stambuli. While in the Stambuli Group, he developed a deep appreciation for all things organometallic and its application in organic synthesis. In 2014, Chip moved to the beautiful Garden State to join the MacMillan Group. His research interest focus mainly on discovering new reactivity for organometallic complexes via light-driven mechanistic pathways. Outside of lab, Chip loves the game of baseball and he is currently the second-string right fielder for the Princeton Chemistry softball team.

  • Chip loves the Braves. In 2009, he watched all 162 games.
  • Chip has many nicknames. You can find him being referred to as Chipper, Skip, Skippy, Sir Skips-a-lot, and Skipper around lab.
